In 1996 I moved from the mountains in California (altituted 6,000 feet) to Texas a Texas school on a rather medium sized hill (the road that circled the hill was named, ironically, named "Mountain Creek Parkway"). I remember standing in their computer lab looking out at a hawk flying just below the windows when someone came up and said "Isn't it great to be above the birds?" I just about cried. My hometown was above the clouds! |
